You mention not doing any heavy exercise on your off gym days. What about gardening ? I have a big back & front yard and I’m gradually turning both into productive gardens ( And beautiful too with aid from my lovely lady ! ) It certainly gets my legs and back a god work out ! And just ordered your new Supplements Book ! Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel P. D. Mangan says May 31, 2017 Hi Bill – it’s a beautiful park. Northern California just finished a rainy season something like 300% of normal, and I believe it was the wettest since they began keeping records in 1870. Climate change is so bogus. Just 3 years ago, the headlines said California was in the midst of a 1000 year drought, but that’s over now, unless we don’t get rain for a long time. Anyway, gardening is fine for recovery days. Thanks for ordering the book! Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel Dusan says June 1, 2017 Why are you wearing sunglasses? Isn’t it block sun & production of vit.D in your body? Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel P. D. Mangan says June 1, 2017 Hi Dusan, sunglasses don’t block vitamin D, which is made from the action of sunlight on the skin. Mangan says June 1, 2017 Thanks, Conan. Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel Steve says June 12, 2017 What’s the difference between your prior book on supplements and this new one? I have read the older one and structured a supplement regimen around your suggestions in that book. By the way, I’ve also read your other books, “Muscle Up” and “Stop The Clock,” both of which I found very informative. Thanks! Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel P. D. Mangan says June 13, 2017 Hi Steve, the new book is, well, completely new, written from the ground up, so it’s not a revision of the old one. I’ve expanded the scope to include life extension, alcohol, skin and hair. Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel Bill says June 15, 2017 PD I ordered your book and it has just arrived here in Oz…Already started going through it…Just a pity that that I found that Lester Morrison research paper on Chondroitin sulfate afterwards as I think it should be listed there. Back in November the ‘quack’ when checking out my heart ’cause of the anemia ( due to aspirin ) sent me for a ECG scan.. And this turned up a high calcium score. The cardiologists wanted me on Statins ( Crestor ) I decided no I’ll do the research and find out better ways to clean up the arteries. And I have : lose weight, lots of exercise, K2, Fish oil, Niacin, magnesium, Gotu Kola, Pycnogenol, Vitamin D, and now Chondroitin Sulfate as recommended by Dr. Lester Morrison back in 1973. Life is good ! You start out by recommending whey powder before or after a gym session. So I have bought some. But much of a difference does it make to muscle growth ? Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel P. D. Mangan says June 16, 2017 Bill, thanks. If you work out hard, it could make a big difference, especially as a new lifter. Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel Bill says June 16, 2017 Not exactly a new lifter PD. An intermittent one with a long break last year in the Philippines while I waited for my lady’s visa to enter Australia…. But I’ll give the whey a try ! And have you heard of “colonic acid”. I have just read this https://cosmosmagazine.com/biology/mutant-microbes-could-keep-you-young It seems that roundworms fed a strain of mutated C elegans that produced lots of Colonic acid, had an anti-aging effect on the round worms..Curious & interesting Reply Name* Email* Website Comment Cancel Add Your Reply Name * E-Mail * Website Comment Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
