I enjoyed the podcast for the most part. You are very articulate.

I was disappointed that their was very little discussion of the iron issues you have raised. Dr. Gross man sounds as if he could benefit from switching to decaf.

I first learned of potential issues with excessive iron in a book by the Drs Eades “Protein Power Life Plan” back in 2000. They have a chapter devoted to this issue along with feedback from patients in their barriatric practice.

They note that serration levels often drop by 100 points or more in the first blood donation.

Keep up the great work PD! Your book Dumping Iron may have saved my ass.

In the interview, you mention that a vegan diet probably was the main cause for the CFS symptoms you previously suffered. Have you completely skipped the leafy greens and vegetables in general? There are many studies, which indicate major anti-inflammatory properties of a vegan diet, and as everyone knows, inflammation is linked to a number of illnesses, including cancer and other diseases of old age.

No, I eat greens and vegetables. But I’m becoming more agnostic as to their value.
